God told the Israelites that if they obey Him and keep His covenant, then they will be His own possession among all the peoples and a kingdom of priests and a holy nation. He gave the Ten Commandments and all of the people said that they will obey everything He said. He then commands them to build a tabernacle for Him to dwell in among them.
