Jesus expects us to pray. He also expects us to enter the narrow gate and way.

Worry is a drag that keeps us from running hard for our Lord and His kingdom. Jesus quells our anxious hearts by assuring us of the Father’s care. In seeking His kingdom, we are to be wise. We are to treat others as we want to be treated. We are to avoid double standards. We are to speak with discernment.

Christ cares for our spiritual health. He, thus, calls us to guard the precious relationship we have with our heavenly Father. He also gives us the wisdom to deal with our hearts that can so easily be enamored with temporal and empty treasures on earth.

Jesus’ call to all was to repent from sin and follow Him. In this third set of commands of Christ, we study the passages that clarify these commands of our Lord who in His grace directs us to a life of fruitfulness for the honor and the glory of God.

The principles of living by the Bible, trusting in the Father’s care, and valuing Him far above all else come into focus in this scene.
