As Christian begins his journey, he meets Obstinate and Pliable, who respond very differently to the truth. When the journey becomes difficult and Christian and Pliable fall into the Swamp of Despair, Pliable turns back while Christian presses on.
Through their experiences, we learn the importance of responding to God’s Word with obedience, persevering when following Christ becomes difficult, and trusting the Lord for help when we face fear, doubt, and discouragement.
